I used to notice the variety of ants in my school garden. There were red and black, really big and very tiny ones, some which used to run on the pavements, while others who trotted beside the grass while certain others who kept hanging on vertical walls only. I noticed their different leg shapes and body structures. So next, I started going with a scale and boxes and other such handy things and extensively did measurements, took notes, made connections and conclusions about how their habit, their locomotion related to their general body structures and their specific leg angles. It was difficult working with such small creatures and difficult all the more to bring out conclusions, but I did it. Then I described it all to my Biology teacher who was overwhelmed.
