Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational simulation and/or academic activity in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. My previous school used to conduct this every year, and we had defined committees for organization and also in the MUN.
I have participated in two consecutive DPSS-MUNs.
In 8th grade, I was the delegate of Argentina in the ECOSOC committee presided by Meet and Akshaya.
In 9th grade, I was the delegate of Chad in the UNSC, and we debated over the Venezuela People Vs. Govt. crisis, and if it could lead to a world war.
They were very successful MUNs overall, with special craze over the emergency crisis debates.
In the opening ceremony, we always have the flag march for different countries, bolstering international relations. I once dressed as a Syrian lady and won the Best Attire award too. Here are some glimpses-
