I was fortunate to have this opportunity of conducting workshops for these special children. I got the idea from my maid who kept complaining about how her children used to roam around all day and waste their time doing nothing during their vacations, especially when she was away for work. She came from a society where many other such women lived who had the same problem. So I asked her to gather such children and started taking this workshop. I taught them basic postures, gestures, expressions, and explained deep meanings in native language (Gujarati).
I enjoyed working with these sweetsomes, but they indeed were mischievous too, and so, one aspect of the workshop essentially dealt with making there more disciplined and oriented.
Hence, one week of my summers from the last three years had been fully dedicated towards these children, and they have always waited for me to come back.
