The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.
This is considered as one of the elite exams in India for class 11 (SX stream), and qualifying this enables students to be considered for admissions to the top institute of India, IISc, Bangalore.
I was nationally ranked 49 in the final fellows list. Hence I am a proud KVPY fellow.

I was invited for the Vijyoshi camp to be held at IISER, Bhopal. This includes thought provoking lectures followed by a round of discussion at the end of each day's programme, basically provide a forum for interactions between bright young students and leading researchers in various branches of science and mathematics.
